Summer Clinics and Tryouts

**TENTATIVE** schedule for the 2022-23 season is posted under the schedule tab.  Just a reminder, this schedule is subject to change up until August, but it will give you a rough idea of what we're signed up for.  The dates for the championship meet shouldn't change (as those pools are already reserved), but all the other meets can change throughout the summer.  Just a reminder - the schedule is **TENTATIVE**

**********************************************************************************************

Due to changes in pool availability, we have to change the dates/times for summer training. The new schedule is as follows:

Session 1:

Wednesdays and Thursdays (July 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21)

Beginners: 5 - 6 pm

Intermediate/Advanced: 5:00 - 6:30 pm

We will refund $10 to each intermediate/advanced swimmer who registered and paid since we're losing Tuesdays. Good news is with the shift to an evening schedule, we will be able to have coaches on deck instead of parent volunteers! If the change in schedule affects your ability to participate, please contact a board member and we will help to get you sorted out. Otherwise we will see everyone on deck on WEDNESDAY July 6 at 5 pm! Please come prepared with a swimsuit, goggles, swim cap, kick board, pool buoy towel, water bottle and flippers.

As for tryouts we're looking at the week of August 8-12 and should have something nailed down next week. If your swimmer was on the team last year, they have a spot again this year and do not need to try out again. We will open registration for returning swimmers in July.

**These trainings are focused on building up endurance for the start of the season in August. Swimmers should expect to swim at least 1000 meters during a 1-hour practice. This training session is NOT a clinic and we will NOT be focusing on technique**

We also have a summer challenge to Swim The English Channel!  Check our Facebook group to find the form to keep a log of your workouts from June 15 - August 15.  If you complete the challenge, you'll win a prize!

Naples Tigers Sharks 2021-2022 Roster

31 August 2021

Parents and Coaches,

The Naples Tiger Sharks 2021-2022 Roster is HERE. If your swimmer was not accepted, please let me know if you would like to remain on our waitlist. My own kids did not make the roster the first time they attempted. Your swimmers are incredibly important to the coaches and we truly hope to work with them all one day.

If your swimmer was accepted, it is very important that your swimmers commit to practices and let the coaches know anytime they will not be able to attend. If your swimmer will be REGULARLY absent on a particular day, please let me know now. Black Group will practice 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Green Group will practice 5 days a week, and White Group will practice 3 days a week. I

Remember, we must remain “COVID-19 Responsible” at all times. Bring masks, no sharing water bottles, and non-siblings must be 2 meters apart.
